- Sue Ellen Ewing: I haven't had a drink in over a year. And if J.R. wants to dig into my past, then I can give you names of his women that would fill up a phone book. Including my own sister. And if he wants to show that I am an unfit mother, then I am willing to prove that he is unfit to be a member of the human race!
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: [to Bobby, as she starts her car] No psychiatrist can change the fact that we can't ever have a child of our own!
- [drives off]
- J.R. Ewing: I don't want my little boy to pick up a newspaper in the future and find out what a tramp his mother is.
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: You're all heart, J.R.
- J.R. Ewing: Well, I wouldn't be trying to get him back if it wasn't for you. Perhaps if you had a child of your own... you'd have left mine alone.
- Bobby Ewing: J.R., brother or not, if you say something like that again, I'm gonna take you apart.
- J.R. Ewing: [gets up from table] Well, it's time to go to court.
- [leaves]
- Miss Ellie Ewing: [leaves as well] I'll call you after the hearing.
- Bobby Ewing: Good luck, Mama.
- Donna Culver Krebbs: Bye.
- [follows Miss Ellie]
- Bobby Ewing: [sighs] I'm sorry, Pam.
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: It's all right, Bobby.
- [her hand reaching to him]
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: J.R. can't hurt me. I don't know... maybe there's some truth in what he says.
- [scoffs]
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: I've got to go to work.
- [kisses Bobby]
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: See you tonight.
