With a cast of beautiful women, from older Julia Adams to younger Brooke Bundy, EPITAPH FOR A SWINGER should have been one of the better episodes... it even became a TV movie (along with several others) when Burt Reynolds was at his peak of fame, renamed something or rather about a woman, or women...
Another similar premise to the cop personally knowing the person who might be a killer, only instead of Burt it's tall police captain Richard Anderson, who gets a shirtless scene in a gym where Burt and his equally monotone partner, Norman Fell (both would wind up in movies together during the same time this episode was a contrived aforementioned movie), ask a bunch of questions and get a bunch of answers without any real mystery intriguing the audience...
In this case the title's the bes thing going... There should have been more hot women and less long questions...
