After evaluating the pros and cons, Rob has decided to run for city council in New Rochelle's ninth district. He feels he needs Doug, who is his campaign advisor, at his side to answer the tough questions. At his first public event, a ladies club meeting, Rob finds out that someone like Doug doesn't have the answers for the types of questions that the ladies ask. He does however find out that his opponent, Lincoln Goodheart, a seemingly nebbish man who is also at the meeting to answer questions, does have the answers not only for the questions Rob thought were going to be asked but for almost anything. At their next speaking engagement at a press conference, the questions are a little more relevant to civic matters, but as versed as Rob feels he is about the primary issues at hand, he finds that he still has much to learn. Rob has to decide if he feels true democracy really will elect the most qualified candidate.
