Since last week, I've really become aware how warm-heartedly genuine Linda Evans is as Krystle. Yes, she had the passive part, and way back, in the early seasons she seemed to be very unsure in the part. Well, that could have been part of portraying a character who was herself unsure, but I suspect it wasn't so much acting. Anyway, the look in her eyes, the whole tone of her voice, re Krystina, it's all 100% convincing and Linda is definitely in her zone playing the character.
Our little favorite, Jessica Player, is a ray of sunshine in the show.
I make no secret of the fact that I don't like Terri Garber. Let's just leave the matter at that.
Ben seems to be played nowadays as a goodie. It's a trademark of all Spelling shows that baddies turn into reformed goodies, the only difference here being that Heather Locklear's Sammy Jo is a complex character while Christopher Casenova's Ben was a cardboard villain from the onset. In short: Ben as a pointless goodie is a waste of the oxygen breathed. I'd have written both Ben and Leslie out of the story with some haste. Oh, there'd have been some big golden farewell parties if I'd had my way, ta-ta Dominique as well...
I definitely know what's coming up, I've figured it out, and it's the only reason why Cassie Yates doesn't get a broadside here as well.
