The main topic of this episode is about a little boy the paramedics rescued from a hole. Dr. Bracket suspected child abuse, and this particular case doesn't have a very happy ending. Meanwhile, the paramedics find a stray dog at the station and decide to adopt him. This is our introduction to their first dog, Boot. Unfortunately, Boot decides not to stick around.
