The parachutist asks them not to cut his harness. As they get him free of his harness the harness drifts away and out of sight to the left, well away from the actual parachute still hanging from the tower. But then in the next close up the harness can be seen swaying back and forth behind the men. Shortly after that, the harness disappears again, but parachute itself can still be seen hanging above them, with no harness in sight.
In the opening scene, the guys are cleaning and waxing the fire trucks. The engine is clearly visible in the station. As the first call alarm goes out, the front door of the station is opened. Squad 51 is seen leaving, yet there is no engine in the station, nor is it seen leaving for the call.
