This isn't really a season, just a feature length special to finish off the series which was shown at Christmas.
The series is given its end by having Martin's job moved to Oswestry and him having to accept this because Ann is having a baby. The latter is a bit unbelievable given her age & frankly I can't imagine Martin as a Dad (aargh!), but it's a nice thing to do for them.
For those not in the know, Oswestry is on the Welsh border - in the Welsh Marches. Beautiful scenery and very historic. At the time of the show it would almost certainly have meant they could get a lot more house for their money - probably still true now, but maybe not by quite as much.
It wouldn't be anything like as convenient for London though, or Boulogne, where Ann memorably went on a day trip in an early episode.
Hopefully the Bryce family will be very happy, although I do worry about Ann, taken away from everyone she knows, with only Martin for adult company (though maybe there'll be a new mothers group) and from Paul, someone who helps her stay sane!
