Matrimony or Bust
hellraiser714 February 2020
This is part two of my fifth favorite episode/s of the show, and it's a good follow up. It's true the ending is predictable, like with most attempted marriage plots but it's how the character get there that matters.

This episode is just all the round funny, really like the running joke with Nick where he has a bad effect on the Keaton's sleep, that alone could be a bad omen on why both Mallory and Nick shouldn't go though with it.

Everyone in the Keaton's is in distress, well except for Jennifer whose head is in the clouds on the whole idea, I couldn't help but think "put the Harlequin book away and smell reality", I hate to burst Jen's bubble but love isn't that simple. I really love some of the things Alex, Elise and Steven say, though I feel Alex and Steven have some of the best lines and moments.

But of course, it comes down to both Mallory and Nick, once both go to that chapel both start to apply the brakes of common sense. Both realize what their doing may seem right but, in their hearts, their realizing it's not. Mallory and Nick realize they really want a lot more on the big day, with Mallory her family and friends there and for Nick a certain band playing, ok for that one it was small but sometimes it's the small things that really make a complete picture. And to me that is part of what marriage should be about both being ready but also to have the best and all the right people to celebrate the bondage between two souls, at least that's what I believe.

Will Mallory and Nick have holy matrimony or bust, you'll just have to wait and see.
