- Narrator: [Opening Narration. Viewers see Richard Kimble walking down a residential street, newspaper in hand, searching for an address and pausing at an apartment house] The ad in the newspaper reads, "Wanted: some one to drive." - Narrator: [Closing Narration. Viewers see Richard Kimble waiting at a bus stop, having just been dropped off from a ride] For a few hours, Richard Kimble became a doctor again and memories were stirred of another time and another world. But this is now and he is again a Fugitive, searching for the end of a perilous road.
- Dr. Richard Kimble: I wanted to get to California I didn't have bus fare.
- Peggy Franklyn: Simple enough. I didn't drive myself because I can't drive. Even simpler.
- [pause]
- Peggy Franklyn: You know what? You don't figure for a man who wouldn't have the fare.
- Dr. Richard Kimble: You don't figure like a girl who can't drive.
- Peggy Franklyn: Touché. You're dangerous to talk to. Are you dangerous?
- Peggy Franklyn: Well, I guess I can't marry you after all.
- Dr. Richard Kimble: Why not?
- Peggy Franklyn: Cause you'd spoil her rotten.
- Dr. Richard Kimble: I guess I would.
