When Kimble first discusses staying the night at the cabin with Laura, he turns to her with both of his hands in his pants pockets. When he turns back to sit at the table, he is holding a full cup of coffee with both hands.
After Deputy Lee Runnels (Sam Melville) is shot and killed inside the cabin and Kimble confirms that he is dead it is as if he never existed. He is never spoken of again nor is his dead body ever seen from that time on. Larry (Robert Doyle) takes the deputy's revolver and puts it in his waist band. After that the revolver is never seen again.
After locating the tree where the money was suppose to be located the Sheriff gets over the top of the rocks and out of sight from the others. He does this because he knows that's where his Jeep with his rifle is parked. The Jeep, however, should have been at the cabin. After Sheriff Troop, Joe Bantam and Jim Ross drove the Jeep to the mechanic's shop to get tools and parts to fix the gangs car they returned to the cabin in the Jeep.
