Captain Gregg (Edward Mulhare) and the family dog Scruffy are continually at odds. The Captain tells Mrs. Muir (Hope Lange) they should have a different dog and one soon appears at the door. The children instantly embrace him and name him "Moby Dick". Norbert Frank (Larry Hovis, "Hogan's Heroes") comes to find Moby Dick is his dog Sheila and leaves with her. When Scruffy goes missing, the Captain is blamed.
