- Carolyn Muir: You turning in so early?
- Martha Grant: I just can't keep up with this Schooner Bay nightlife.
- Claymore Gregg: You see we artistic people need tranquility in order to create.
- Martha Grant: Well, as Shakespeare said, "It isn't enough to be tranquil. One must also have talent."
- Claymore Gregg: Oh, lovely. "Much Ado," wasn't it?
- Claymore Gregg: Oh, uh, what brings you up this way, Steve?
- Tim Seagirt: [correcting] Tim. We're on a trip meditating about music, managers, and the, uh, meaning of life.
- Claymore Gregg: I can see everything. You got involved with one of those greedy, grasping, do-nothing managers.
- Carolyn Muir: [warningly] Claymore.
- Claymore Gregg: No, I know the type well, Mrs. Muir. They have dollar signs for eyes and they never do anything.
- Carolyn Muir: [more intently] Claymore...
- Carolyn Muir: Well, I-I see that you play the guitar, Tim. What do you do, Steve?
- Steve Locke: Nothing. I'm his manager.
- Martha Grant: [to Claymore] When you get your foot out of your mouth, sit down. Tim's gonna do a number for us.
