The set used for the Petrillo's Brooklyn apartment was originally used for Louise Lasser's character Maggie McBurney on the Witt/Thomas/Harris series It's a Living. It was first used on The Golden Girls for the second season episode "Vacation" where the set was redressed in a tropical island theme as the lobby of a rundown hotel the girls find themselves staying in. Thereafter, the set was redressed and reused as the Petrillo's Brooklyn home.
