"Grandpa's Visit" brings back Richard Ward as James' father Henry, introduced in "The Family Tree," in a special Thanksgiving episode. Grandpa makes the journey from New Orleans to spend the holiday with his family, but not alone, as he's accompanied by Lena Anderson (Paulene Myers). The one hitch is that Florida disapproves of the fact that the two are not married, resulting in his heading to the bus station for the long ride back to Louisiana. Despite her insistence on the children sitting down to enjoy the turkey, they all desert her to bid farewell to Grandpa before he leaves. Henry and Lena would be back once more for next season's "Something Old, Something New."
