"The Boarder" finds the Evans finances in disarray after JJ's hours are reduced by two days, coming up with the idea to take in a boarder. His ad is highly misleading, especially the part about the crystal chandelier and swimming pool! What they wind up with is John Dunbar (Hank Rolike), an elderly man scared of his own shadow, who explains why he's staying with the Evans. He turns out to be the bookkeeper for mobster Frazee (Rozelle Gayle), who ripped off several clients of their investments, and Dunbar is hiding out until the trial. Even Bookman won't kick the man out after learning of JJ's misfortune, and it doesn't take long before Frazee figures things out. The resolution is a surprise, and hardly a pleasant one.
