John Amos's final appearance in the series. Amos's contract was not renewed after production of the 3rd season had been completed due to his growing complaints over the evolving tone of the show to less socially-conscious storylines, and the fact that Jimmie 'JJ' Walker was becoming the focus of the writer's attention. However, John Amos would appear in a recreated Good Times episode featured on Live In Front Of A Studio Audience hosted by Norman Lear and Jimmy Kimmel, which aired December 18, 2019.
The first episode to feature Ralph Carter's singing and dancing. Every episode credited his appearance in the Broadway musical RAISIN.
Jimmy 'JJ' Walker does not appear in this episode
