My summary is not meant as a dig against this decent episode of "Hawaii Five-O". It's just that there is a painting in the show that is highly reminiscent of the ones you'd see on "Night Gallery" and it really was pretty cool.
The show begins with the murder of some rich industrialist from back East. Soon after the murder is on the TV news, a psychiatrist calls to tell the police that he might know who did it. Danny is on his way to meet the Doctor when the man is killed--killed presumably by the same man who killed the industrialist. And, after killing the Doctor, the killer ransacks the office and steals his file. A short time later, another doctor is diabolically killed with an insecticide. This murderer is amazingly determined, smart and, of course, dangerous. What the guy's plans are next you'll need to see for yourself.
"A Study in Rage" stars Richard Hatch (of "Battlestar Gallactica" fame--not the nude idiot from "Survivor") and Gretchen Corbett (a frequent guest on "The Rockford Files"). While not a great episode since the murders actually seem pretty ordinary and easy to solve for this show, it's solid and interesting. Plus, as I said above, I loved that freaky painting...and would sure like to know what they did with it. Worth seeing--especially so you can see Hatch covered in paint to make him look Hawaiian.
