- In a show with several similarities to the previous season opener, a series of swindlings are covers for serial murder. An Army sergeant who lost his brother in Vietnam because of the latter's infatuation with a bar girl, uses Honolulu bar girls as patsies to "marry" dead soldiers and collect on their $10,000 apiece insurance policies -- then murders them and keeps the money. The sergeant is absolutely coldblooded and utters the episode's title when his partner (who has been forging the marriage certificates and the insurance papers) has a heart attack and can't get to his nitro tablets. An unusually violent ending. From this point, all series closing credits are played over shots of men paddling an outrigger canoe through the ocean (replacing the first-season end title of a flashing police light on a car driving through Honolulu); the color and size of the credit cards is also altered.—Peter Harris
- Loretta Swit (Anna) in maybe her first television / movie role, is flashing a lot of cash she got from an insurance policy at a club. Her roommate Yoko (Barbara Luna) is nervous and warns Anna to be careful. Anna is killed and Five-O assigns Danny to befriend Yoko and investigate. He and the team uncover a fraud ring run by Sgt. Simms (Harry Guardino), a military records man. Simms has a connection with the marriage license office that pre-dates certificates using local girls married to GI`s that die in Vietnam. The girls get the $10,000 insurance policy and Sgt. Simms kills them shortly after. Simms challenges McGarrett to prove any of this, so they get Yoko to help them set a trap and corner Simms.
