Becuase of using stock footage, landing aircraft was shown landing on runway 13 when in the tower the controller said he would have it land on runway 8.
When the target airplane is first seen, it's a Boeing 707, but later an approach shot shows a Boeing 747 and when the plane lands, it's a 707 again.
The Hughes 500C helicopter (N9230F) was used both as the HPD helicopter and as the terrorist's helicopter arriving at the hideout.
When Blake (George Takei) was escaping and started up the Hughes 500C helicopter (N9230F) the grinding sound of a starter was heard. The Hughes 500C has a Rolls Royce/Allison 250 turbine engine, and what should first be heard is the rising pitch whine of the N1 (compressor) RPM's building up, not a car type starter.
When the flares were fired to thwart the heat seeking missile, the picture of the plane was a faded superimpose still image.
The targeted plane was referred to as "Trans Pacific Airlines" but when it was seen the plane was TWA.
The clocks in the hotel behind the registration desk don't make any sense. The Honolulu clock shows 8:04 am (presumed, since it's light out) but the Los Angeles clock shows 11:27 am (presumed). The clocks are side by side.
When Thorncrest is shooting at the plane, with Danno driving along side of him, the bazooka-like missile launcher is horizontal to the ground and aimed at Danno rather than the plane.
Danno is in the control tower when the CLF's van is spotted on the runway, but he is able exit the control tower within seconds and join the pursuit of the van which seems relatively far away. At one point, the van turns in a way to evade the police which belies any sense. And how the the van managed to enter the airport from their relatively remote hideout so rapidly is also perplexing.
Reference was often made to the five pieces as being for the "missile".
The pieces look like they would be more for the launcher.
The good guys should have been looking for the actual missile.

The president's plane is redirected to Hilo Airport, but soon after Masters tells McGarrett that the Hilo runway has just been closed due to sabotage. What is seen of the airport appears small and basic, though it was an international airport with multiple runways. The fact that the terrorist CLF knew that the plane might be redirected and the speed at which the resulting fuel truck explosion with burning debris littering the runway was put into practice is quite far-fetched.
