One of JoaT's best episodes

While this episode takes place away from the usual setting of Palau Palau, the setting, constant sight gags, and comedy are all top-notch.

In this ep, Jack and Emilia are in pursuit of The Crown of King George, which has been stolen by the villainous Marquis de Sade. After a quick boat ride to neighboring Agony Island, they find themselves embroiled in various sadomasochistic comedy setpieces, culminating at a hilarious race and the the appearance - as always - of The Daring Dragoon!

Stuart Devinie is a real standout in this episode, playing an extremely different version of Governor Corque than we've ever seen - as well as playing the Marquis!

One of Jack's finest adventures!

I don't know why this is my favourite Jack of all Trades episodes...Oh wait LEATHER CLAD BRUCE CAMPBELL!! & the Marquis De Sade. So eerily close to perfection. The continuous sight gags make the episode near unwatchable it's so funny and Stuart Devinie is brilliant as the Marquis making some of the funniest faces every committed to tape. The plot however is a little bit weaker than some other episodes. Jack and Emilia go to Agony Island to try and reclaim King George the Third's Crown but things like the conversation with Von Rufhausen (ha ha Punny) and the triathlon of pain make this the least historically accurate and most fun episode of the bunch.
