At the beginning of the attack scene between the F.L.A.G. semi and the ancient green IH tractor, the semi's tailgate ramp is lowered to let K.I.T.T. out so that he can pull alongside the semi for Michael to get in. We then see K.I.T.T. sitting in the back of the truck with his white back-up lights lit, indicating that he is already running and shifted into reverse. But in the very next sequence, K.I.T.T. is seen and heard powering up and then shifting into reverse. (Also, when he backs down the ramp, his back-up lights are not on that time.)
During the course of the hijacking scene the van has a New Mexico front license plate, and then briefly a California license plate is seen. The hijacking van appears to be two different vehicles.
Outside the motel, KITT backs up to stop a man sneaking around to attack Michael. However, the insert of the gear shift moves to Reverse from Drive instead of Park.
During the opening scene, as the masked man in the beige overalls runs to the trailer. He cranks the support pillars to go down. However as the pillars only go down several inches (takes a long time to go down fully). Moments later he disengages the kingpin on the truck and disconnects the hoses. If the truck would drive away now, the trailer would fall down at the front.
After KITT hits the brown van to stop it the debris consists of wood and either cardboard or plastic and not metal.
When the hijackers are attacking the F.L.A.G. truck and the gunman turns to fire on K.I.T.T., the view of K.I.T.T. shows that it is an entirely different car with a different interior (different seats and circular steering wheel), and also the custom nose and the hood do not fit together properly, leaving a very obvious wide gap.
One of the bats being used to attack KITT is visibly warped; it's not made of wood.
A fireman is shown putting out a car fire with a fire extinguisher. A fireman would have access to the pump on board his fire truck and would use that instead of a fire extinguisher to put out a fire, especially since cars have gasoline and other flammable materials that a fire extinguisher is insufficient to deal with.
Shortly after the scene where the two truckers work K.I.T.T. with baseball bats you can see the hidden guy inside K.I.T.T. reversing him.
Near the beginning when Michael and Terri are talking, KITT gets blocked in by the goons' truck.
When KITT backs up you can clearly see the trolley under the truck's rear wheels as KITT backs up and when the camera zooms out.
When KITT is informing Michael that two men are approaching him and Terri, you can see the reflection of the camera mounted on Terri'e side of the truck reflected in the window on Michael's side.
At one point a "Castaic" sign is seen at the truck stop. Castaic is on I-5 on the way to Los Angeles and not in New Mexico.
