In the opening scene, we see a blue van in a driveway behind a station wagon and an armored car. Kojak and Crocker then arrive and park their vehicle in an alcove at an angle behind the blue van. When the art thieves make their escape moments later, they are shown pulling away in the blue van which now has nothing in front of it. Kojak and Crocker emerge behind them and get into their car which is now parked directly behind where the van was facing straight ahead.
Around the 34 minute mark, Kojak sitting at his desk touches his nose with his left hand, and his clearly stunted left index finger is visible. Next, there is a closeup of his hands as he pours naphtha on his left palm, but now the index finger - obviously a hand double - looks normal. The next scene shows him smelling his hand, and the stunted left index finger is visible again.
At the very beginning the gallery owner calls the Rembrandt's etchings then later everyone calls them drawings. There is a major difference in value between the two types of art with some etchings even in 2021 valued at under $10,000 while actual drawings can be in the $300,00 and higher range.
