This episode is notable for its pre-credit sequence, which features Susan Dey in a comical courtroom appearance which has no attachment to the rest of the episode--or any continuing storyline, for that matter. (As Dey's Grace Van Owen does not appear in the rest of the episode, this scene seems to have been added in order to feature her, perhaps contractually.) The humorous bit that plays out--a mortified witness writes down on a piece of paper lewd remarks a flasher made to her, and the paper is then shown to the jurors individually--is remarkably similar to a sketch on the very first episode of Saturday Night Live twelve years earlier (10/11/1975).
