Reese the man of property
bkoganbing12 December 2016
Shades of Gunga Din as Reese Bennett decides to become a man of property and leave the Rangers. And as in Gunga Din his buddies do their level best to stop him by hook or crook.

But for their 'last' job as a team the guys pull off a Dalton style capture of notorious outlaw Leo Gordon after killing all the other gang members during a robbery. They've got to take him to Laredo.

But before that Neville Brand who gets conned mercilessly every episode by his pals gets taken by an uncle and niece team of swindlers, Ahna Capri and Gene Raymond. They sell him a lot sight unseen which turns out to be an Alkali Lake.

So while Robert Wolders starts working his own con against the con artists, William Smith and Peter Brown try to get Leo Gordon back to Laredo and get Brand to re-enlist. Not unlike what Cary Grant and Victor McLaglen were doing to Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. in Gunga Din.

The two plot lines gel gloriously together for a very funny episode.
