- Briscoe and Logan get an anonymous call that a Manhattan millionaire playboy has been murdered. But his widow and her lawyer claim that the death was natural causes, and the detectives are getting nowhere, until the dead man's son produces evidence he says proves that his stepmother committed murder.—Anonymous
- Detectives Briscoe and Logan investigate the death of Jonathan Keyes who is found dead on the floor of his bathroom. From the outset his wife, Michelle Keyes, and the family lawyer oppose any type of investigation. They even object to the police removing the body from their apartment and the police allow the body to go directly to the funeral home. By the time the medical examiner got there, the body had already been embalmed. Everyone who knew him says he was nice and pleasant. Not so for Mrs. Keyes about who no one has anything good to say. The dead man's son, Lance, is certain his step-mother had something to do with his father's death. As the evidence mounts that Keyes died from an overdose of insulin, ADA Stone gets the body exhumed. High levels of insulin lead to Mrs. Keyes arrest for murder. Her lawyer is out to change laws however and it's apparent to McCoy that they're headed to the Court of Appeals.—garykmcd
