Father Flanagan's belief that there is no such thing as a bad boy is put to the test in this episode.

With no parents, a young boy drifts into delinquency and is sent to a reform school. There he works with his social worker, Loretta Young, who tells him that the father he never knew has been in prison and will soon be released after 12 years.

This is basically the story of a Boys Club, made up of once wayward boys who did outreach to help youngsters in trouble turn to a better life. Individualism is stressed here as well as guidance by the boys who were formerly in trouble as well.

The story emphasizes catching the child while he is young so that he doesn't become a repeat offender.
