A heartwarming tale depicting the golden age of education. This was when students of varied backgrounds came together as classmates and children listened, did what was expected of them as they tried to please and discipline problems for the most part did not exist.

After 8 years of teaching, Loretta's husband gets a promotion which will allow her to retire early. She feels can do no more. Of course, there is a student in her class, apparently neglected at home who craves for attention. He oddly requests tutoring by his teacher to prepare for a spelling bee.

A strange event happens when money for a certain project disappears and our attention getting student finds the money. In a somber scene, after finding the money, he confesses to Mrs. Curtis that he took it so that he could miraculously find it and save the day. At this point, the teacher knows she has a calling and that she is needed.

A wonderful tale beautifully realized by all.
