Ronny Cox guest stars as a widower named Cartman who, along with his son Robbie(played by John Bishop) arrive in a nearby valley to settle down in a new life, but Cartman stubbornly refuses all good advice by James "Grizzly" Adams(Dan Haggerty) who only wants to stop him from making foolish mistakes, but he must learn the hard way when his camp is overrun with smoke from his fire or worse, when he knocks over a hornet's nest that stings poor Robbie, forcing his father to seek Adams' help, and Nakoma's(Don Shanks), whom he had previously disrespected... Fine episode about learning from one's mistakes and accepting good advice, leading to new friendships. First appearance of Robbie Cartman, who would become a recurrent character(though this should have aired before 'Blood Brothers')!
