When Dr. LeDoux first visits the Shermans, Mr. Sherman brings up the Civil War and how many good men died. LeDoux says he is well aware of how many good men died in that war, and he says it was 646,392 good men to be exact. There were 646,392 Union casualties, however only 364,511 died. The other 281,881 were injured.
Both Dr. & Mrs. LeDoux are from New Orleans, but speak with no southern accent.
Dr Baker should have taken the call to treat the mare since he's the veterinarian.
