At 36:42 right after the escaped convict shoots at Charles, a piece of the railing is hanging down. You see the convict walk up the stairs at 37:08 and the piece of railing is no longer hanging down and looks like it has never been damaged.
At 40:22 the escaped convict is walking down the stairs and bumps the railing. You can see that the railing isn't attached to the spindle seeing how it moves out of place.
At 43:22 Charles jumps out and attacks the convict yet he was shot. The shotgun bird shot may not necessarily kill you but it packs a punch and Charles would not be running around right after then hugging his daughters' like nothing is wrong.
Dr. Baker goes to someones house for dinner (presumably with is medical bag). After Laura tells Charles about what is going on at the blind school, they break into the Dr's. office to get the bag. Dr. Baker then goes to the Oleson's and sets his bag down on the floor. No where do Dr. Baker and Charles meet to hand the bag over.
At the Olesons, Dr. Baker sets down his umbrella on the floor yet his medical bag is missing.
When Doc Baker arrives at the Blind School, one of the gunmen asks Mary if she is expecting anyone. She replies: "No!" in a loud voice, but her mouth does not move.
It's never explained how Charles survived the shotgun blast he took from Jake.
