Storyline
Did you know
- GoofsWhen Inga arrives, Klinger tells her that it takes two doctors to sign the Section 8 forms and that he's short 2 doctors. Hawkeye and BJ could sign those forms (in fact, Hawkeye signed several) so this would not be a problem. In earlier episodes, it always took 3 doctors to sign, so with Hawkeye and Trapper John having signed, it still required Henry or Frank to sign. Now, with only 2 doctors needed, the need for Inga to sign is gone.
- Quotes
Capt. Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce: How dare you do that to me in front of a room full of people! I have to work with them!
Maj. Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan: You'll work with them a lot better when you start treating them like people.
Capt. Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce: Don't hand me that baloney. You're not standing up for her as a woman, you're really jealous of her, aren't you?
Maj. Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan: Jealous of her?
Capt. Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce: Olive green.
Maj. Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan: Over you? Don't be an ass! You think everything revolves around you and your spectacular body, don't you?
Capt. Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce: You're raving.
Maj. Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan: You think a woman is dead until she lives for you. Well, let me tell you something, Benjamin Franklin, we actually survive without you. We live, we breathe, we dream, we do our work, we earn our pay, sometimes we even have our little failures, and then we pull ourselves together all without benefit of your fabulous electric lips! And let me tell you something else, buster. I can walk into that kitchen anytime I want, and replace those fabulous lips of yours with a soggy piece of liver!

During Act One, Nurse Halverson demonstrated a new surgical technique to reconstruct the knee while in surgery. Captain Pierce became surprised about the way she showed him in surgery. He acted dumbfounded about the way how a woman performs in surgery ... even if he did not admire her professionalism as a nurse. In addition, Major Houlihan chided Captain Pierce for maintaining his own ego ... specifically about one's sex ... and not about one's reputation.
In Act Two, Captain Pierce was not acting considerate of her feelings about her profession. Meanwhile, Major Winchester was observing a nurse administering the medicine on time to a patient in the post-operative section of the 4077th. The problem: the patient endured a severe allergic reaction of penicillin. The conflict: Major Winchester scolded a nurse for not having an emergency tray. The nurse used a syringe to administer adrenalin to stop the possibility of brain damage to the patient. In all actuality, Actress Mariette Hartley performed brilliantly in her role as Nurse Inga Halverson. She endured a crisis -- in her role -- of how people make her work miserable as a nurse. People did not understand that a woman's perspective as a nurse consisted more than the admiration of her body. Rather, admiration of a woman consisted of integrity, professionalism, dependability, consideration, wit, and honesty in the medical world. A Fat 13 Out Of 10!! An A++!!
