A somewhat routine, stand-alone episode of MARTIAL LAW, this still gets by thanks to Sammo's charisma and growing chemistry with his co-stars. The plot is lightweight and about the hunt for a criminal gang who have been counterfeiting banknotes. The first scene sees Sammo dressing up as a Mexican before beating up some goons which would no doubt have some people crying cultural appropriation these days. The fights are okay, but not quite as good as earlier in the show; it's clear not as much time was spent on them. However, the sight of Sammo playing the guitar is enough for me to tune in. A shame about the 'comedy' British guys with the awful accents, though.
