Those Little Baby Makers
Hitchcoc1 March 2017
Ted talks to Mary because he and Georgette have been trying to get pregnant for a long time. He wants her to talk to Georgette, as if that would do any good. Anyway, she get them to see doctors and Georgette is OK but Ted is possibly incapable of producing a child. So adoption becomes the alternative. The secondary story has to do with Lou Grant having agreed to take possession of a guy's St. Bernard. Of course, he was loaded when he agreed and the dog is driving him crazy. This is a cute episode with some great stuff involving Ted. It's especially good when a woman from the adoption agency comes to check out Ted and Georgette.

Adoption woes
Rrrobert25 February 2020
Ted gets Mary involved when he and Georgette have trouble getting pregnant yet wont seek medical advice. Then they consider adoption.

It is fun and engaging even if it repeats some ideas from earlier episodes. Ted recently had problems in the bedroom in 'Not with My Wife, I Don't ', Murray wanted a son so adopted one in 'A Son for Murray'. (Funny how the regulars can only father daughters not sons; for sons they need to adopt.)

The funniest scene has Mrs Adams (Patricia Estrin) from the adoption agency visit Ted and Georgette.

In the subplot Lou adopts a St Bernard and soon regrets it. It seems like it is from some other sitcom. The bit where Lou is covered in fur even seems to have exaggerated canned laughter from another show.

Mary's and Murray's IQs

Warning: Spoilers
I found the precocious little boy asking Murray and Mary for their IQs offensive They should have told him that it's not nice for little boys to ask adults such personal questions.
