Maude is going to a 30 year college reunion especially to see her old friend Katie Malloy.
A very funny episode, one of the best of Season 5. It is Maude's 51st birthday and she is feeling very old. Walter and Carol bring her a birthday cake with 51 candles and Maude has to blow them out with a hair dryer! She looks forward to the reunion thinking it will cheer her up to see her fun loving friend Katie. Then she is depressed when she sees Katie had a stroke and is now in a wheelchair. Katie is played by MGM veteran Nanette Fabray and she brings great humor to the role. She and Maude sing a funny version of "Sonny Boy" at the end.
