Usually perfect? That's like saying slightly pregnant. What did you find?

John Randolph guest stars in this memorable episode. I don't know how Mildred could get jury duty and a murder case in San Francisco since she works directly for the police commissioner. Anyway, she is serving as a jury on a high profile murder case. When the jury gets sequestered, a juror gets murdered in the hotel. He was the juror to vote not guilty while others would have voted guilty. Then it gets complicated. It's still a good episode!

Another locked room mystery

Guilt by Association give us a bonus murder. A football player is on trial for one, and during the jury sequester, a juror is murdered on a hotel floor with tight security. The question is, are the murders connected, or not? The murdered juror may be the only one ready to vote guilty.

Mildred is also on the jury, and even she is attacked, but the assailant mysteriously runs from her hotel room without 'finishing her off'.

The cast is jam-packed with familiar faces from TV of the era ... and before.

I didn't figure out the case of the football player during the show, but I did figure out the case of the juror. Can you?

Ya gotta be a football hero

One of the things we learn about Commissioner MacMillan is that he played some college football back in the day. One of two murders that come across his desk has to do with the San Francisco 'Miners' football team and their star running back Gene Washington who is on trial for murdering one of his teammates.

All kinds of things happen to bring Rock Hudson and Susan Saint James into this case. First off Nancy Walker is serving on the jury and she's attacked while the jury is sequestered in the hotel room. After that happens the jury is moved to a high rise hotel with fixed windows so no one can break in.

Despite that another juror is killed and that attracts the personal interest of the MacMillans. Of a necessity the old case is given a fresh look as well as the fresh murder. There are all kinds of suspects with a lot of familiar faces from the small screen to choose from.

The real break in this case is discovered by Medical Examiner Logan Ramsey who discovers the real cause of death of the juror. All the responsible parties are then apprehended.

This one is your typical Agatha Christie locked room case. I think Agatha would have put a few flourishes on it, but as a television episode it's pretty good.
