  Michael Anthony : [Reaching into his briefcase]  Mr. Burke, I have been instructed by someone who wishes to remain anonymous, to present you with $1,000,000.

  Tod Burke : [Looking at check]  I don't know what you're selling, Mr., but you... you sure got a new gimmick.

  Michael Anthony : This isn't a salesman's gimmick, Mr. Burke. Here's a cashier's check in the amount of $1,000,000. And that is net to you. The donor has paid the taxes.

  Bonnie : [Staring at check]  Todd, this is real.

  Tod Burke : I don't get it! I don't get it at all.

  Michael Anthony : You will get it, Mr. Burke, all of it,

  [presenting a paper] 

  Michael Anthony : as soon as you sign this document, pledging yourself never to reveal to anyone the exact amount of this gift or the circumstances under which you received it.

  Tod Burke : Not even my mother?

  Michael Anthony : That you've come into money, a substantial amount of money, yes, but any exact details, no. Only your wife may share that knowledge. If you do break your pledge, whatever is left of the million will be reclaimed on the donor's behalf. Is that fully understood?

  Tod Burke : Sure, but...

  Michael Anthony : [Offering the agreement]  Will you sign here?

  Tod Burke : I'm shakin' like a leaf. Big ox like me.

  [Signs pledge] 

  Michael Anthony : Thank you.

  [returning the promise to his briefcase] 

  Michael Anthony : That concludes our business, Mr. Burke.

  Tod Burke : Ha... how do you say thanks to someone who just handed you a million bucks?

  Michael Anthony : Thanks aren't needed. I hope the money will make both of you very happy. Good night.
