This is a smooth, enjoyable episode. The horseracing and racetrack angle of the plot makes it more interesting and colorful. There is excellent guest casting of Herb Edelman and Richard Jaeckel as bad guys; they were very fine actors. Lynda Day George simply looks great in this episode and she gets a chance to show her strong acting ability. Our four-person MI team works well together and you get the feeling that they really are a team and care about each other, which I like.
The feel of the Season 6 and 7 shows differs from all the earlier seasons, in part because we have gone from a basic 5-person team to now a 4-person MI team. Without Leonard Nimoy, who was in Seasons 4 & 5, more of the acting load is carried by Peter Graves and Greg Morris, which is fine by me, as I think they are outstanding. They were always key to the show but even more so in Seasons 6 & 7, my favorite seasons because Lynda Day George is such a good fit with the team. As usual, I enjoy seeing those huge 1970's American cars, and the period fashions of the time. The dvd print of the series, which I'm watching, is first-rate.
