This mission is set in early 1969, and the casino is shown using large quantities of $1,000 bills. On 14 July of that year, the US government officially withdrew all bills larger than $100 to make it more difficult for criminals to transport large sums in cash. Such bills are still legal tender, but are worth more than face value as collector's items.
Tony Giorgio, credited as the Dealer, was the technical advisor on magic and gambling for Mission: Impossible (1966). He was also well known as one of the foremost playing card manipulators, and wrote on the subject in the magician's magazine "Genii".
This show utilized a device called a "snorkel camera". By moving across the gaming table, it transformed the tabletop's dimensions into those of a football field. It was used with remarkable effect when Cinnamon is playing blackjack with Costa's $25,000.
Because the script required so much overdubbing of the voice of Constantine Victor (a recording Rollin studies to perfect his impression of the syndicate boss, dubbing of Martin Landau as Rollin does his impression, a recording of Rollin's impression played back so the IMFer appears to talk to Victor over a telephone), voice-over artist Vic Perrin rather than the role's credited but only briefly seen actor Val Avery is heard throughout.
