- Person on Tape: [voice on tape] Good afternoon, Mr. Phelps. Manuel Delgado, the patron saint of his country's Freedom Party, recently was sent to prison by the totalitarian regime now in power. To help Delgado continue to lead the resistance movement from behind bars, this man, Santos Cardoza, had himself arrested and imprisoned. Needing freedom of action in order to act as liaison, Cardoza managed to become a trustee. This is led to grave danger for him because the other convicts believe he is an informer and Cardoza cannot reveal the true reason for his actions. Your mission, Jim, should you decide to accept it, is to expose the real informer and keep Cardoza alive so that he may continue to aid Delgado. As always, should you or any of your IM Force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This recording will self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck, Jim.
- Santos Cardoza: Johnson and Morales?
- James Phelps: Yeah?
- Santos Cardoza: Your prison clothes. Morales?
- Barney Collier: Save them for yourself, amigo. I am breaking out in the morning.

- James Phelps: I owe you a ride, Lieutenant. Get in.
- Rollin Hand: But, senor...
- James Phelps: Just get in and drive! Come on, you too. Keep 'em covered, Morales. Now, open the back door and get in. It was a short visit but very pleasant, comandante.
- Rollin Hand: I am very embarrassed sir, but... you know the prisoners I brought yesterday? The ones who started the fight?
- Comandante: What about them?
- Rollin Hand: One of them must have picked my pocket. My watch is gone. It was my father's watch, handed down. I have looked everywhere. They must have it.
- Comandante: [exasperated] Well, what do you want *me* to do about it!
