"The Devils" is a very hard episode to rate. I will freely admit that the plot is very, very stupid and is nothing like the more intelligent scripts the show is usually known for making. It is stupid beyond belief. But, it's also very funny and enjoyable. I am glad they didn't make any others quite this stupid but it did make me laugh.
Phelps' mission is to destroy Lord Holman. It seems that three recent guests who were important government officials all met bad fates--two dead and one hopelessly insane. It seems that Holman is operating some sort of Satanic cult within his mansion and is deliberately using all sorts of tricks to kill or scramble the brains of folks! Now is that the stupidest thing you've ever heard?? It gets worse. Phelps plays the Devil himself in the episode and he approached Holman...and eventually has Holman believing that now he'll have Hell to pay for his deeds!!
Seeing Phelps with glowing eyes made me laugh hysterically...as will all this stupid drivel. Funny...but also embarrassingly bad.
