Quotes

  • Queen Sara Saturday : I thought we had decided there would be no extra plane, Friday.

King Friday XIII : You may have decided, Sara, but I want to hear this person out.

Queen Sara Saturday : [to Saleslady]  I'm afraid this presentation may be a waste of your time.

Airplane Saleslady : I didn't know there was a question about my coming.

King Friday XIII : No question. Carry on, young person.

Queen Sara Saturday : And exactly how much fuel does this plane use?

King Friday XIII : Er, not very much.

Airplane Saleslady : Well, it does use the most of all of our vehicles, sire.

King Friday XIII : Naturally, for a royal plane.

Queen Sara Saturday : But I told you, Friday, that's what I'm against. We have one plane and it already uses too much gas. And now you want a second that uses even more.

King Friday XIII : Well, it's purple, and it will have thirteens all over it. You're not even looking at it.

Queen Sara Saturday : I've given it a great deal of thought.

King Friday XIII : Well, I'M the king.

Queen Sara Saturday : And I'M the queen. We can discuss it anon. Farewell everyone.

    [leaves]

King Friday XIII : Er, perhaps I should speak further with the queen. Excuse me.

  • Lady Elaine Fairchilde : [after King Friday and Queen Sara had a big argument]  Are they getting a divorce?

Airplane Saleslady : They didn't mention such a thing.

Lady Elaine Fairchilde : Probably are. I never thought it would last. Friday is impossible to live with.

  • Mr. Rogers : Prince Tuesday is afraid that his mom and dad's fighting is all his fault. That's probably why he wants to go stay with Daniel. But it's not his fault, is it? A lot of Prince Tuesday's worries are on the inside. Do you suppose his mom and dad know he's worried? They might not know if he doesn't tell them.

  • Lady Aberlin : [as Lady Aberlin is bringing a container to Corny's factory, it mysteriously lifts off into the air]  Oh! Where did it...?

Cornflake S. Pecially : Why, Lady Aberlin. Good to see you again.

Lady Aberlin : [still in shock]  Well... something's terribly wrong.

Cornflake S. Pecially : What is it?

Lady Aberlin : I had a container and I just about to deliver it to you, and when I brought it here, the moment I set it down, it just... flew away.

Cornflake S. Pecially : It musta been an air-mail container. Get it? Air mail.

Lady Aberlin : Yes, I understand your joke, Corny, but this is no joke. I'm gonna have to find that container. Incidentally, how is your new machine working?

Cornflake S. Pecially : It's just great. Want a taste of something from it?

Lady Aberlin : Oh, it makes something to eat?

Lady Elaine Fairchilde : [appears behind Corny]  At least we know that. I'll bet it's eggplant parmasean.

    Lady Aberlin : Lady Elaine.

Lady Elaine Fairchilde : None other, toots. None other.

Lady Aberlin : I wondered if you'd be around here.

Lady Elaine Fairchilde : The container is in my C room at the museum. Whenever you're ready to tell me what you're making. Toot toot.

    [leaves]

Lady Aberlin : Just what I thought.

Cornflake S. Pecially : Please don't be concerned about it. I don't need the container for a few days. By then, everybody will know what I'm making. I mean, you'll be able to smell them.

  • Mr. Rogers : Sometimes children wonder if other people know what they are thinking. People don't know what you're thinking if you don't tell them. So if you're worried about something, it can really help to tell the people you love what you're worried about.
