The principle plot element is the disappearance of a little girl in a park where she plays. Her father says he signaled a nanny he knew to look after her while he used a bathroom. We find out later about his motivations. The other story is about a sort of basketball agent. A young woman was shot and thrown from a van. Finally, Connie's sister's husband beats her again and Connie moves in. We will see.

"Meat Me in the Park"

Warning: Spoilers
For mine, these police procedurals are always better when the case is a particularly big emotional trigger: like when the family of a character gets abducted or when any child is kidnapped - especially from a park, as occurs in "Meat Me in the Park". Sipowicz and Clark lead the chase.
The story, though, is not straightforward. It's rather gritty and a little dark, as has been the trademarked and patented NYPD Blue way for nine seasons and now four episodes.
This is a well-written and well-acted episode - I especially enjoyed Bill Brotchtrup's moment in the sun in the closing minutes. Okay, maybe we're passed the halcyon days of this show, but the cast is still very good. Even Medavoy, who I used to not hugely like as he seemed a little turnip-headed to be a cop, is growing on me. Gordon Clapp and Henry Simmons are a good combo.
