The Great White Buck is a nearly supernatural deer that legend says brings good fortune. During the depression, the town stayed prosperous because of this oversized deer. This is a hilarious episode. Dick, the curmudgeon doesn't believe in the deer but while on an errand he runs over the thing, killing it. Soon the town begins to fall apart. It won't be corrected until the killer (Dick) does the dance of the wood nymph. The costume is worth the price of admission. In a strange add on a guy (played by Bill Maher, of all people) wants a date with Stephanie and won't take no for an answer. What eventually transpires is quite funny.

George spots a legendary white deer which is supposed to bring the town good luck.
A very funny episode where Dick also sees the Great White Buck but runs it over, making the townsfolk believe that bad luck will happen through out the town. George tells Dick he has to perform a strange ritual in the woods to take the curse off the town. You need to see the "wood nymph" costume Dick is forced to wear. There is also a funny subplot about a lovesick guest (Bill Maher in an early TV appearance) who keeps pestering Stephanie for a date.
