- The head of the space agency, Nancy McDonald, is called into the office when an emergency SOS signal is received from an astronaut who has landed in large body of water. The signal was sent by Lt. Christopher Lindy over an unsecured channel using 20 year-old equipment. Lindy disappeared 20 years ago and was in fact McDonald's fiancé at the time. To the best they can determine, Lindy's craft traveled through a wormhole and while he has aged only a short time, 20 years have passed on Earth.
