- Kirsten Bennett: [sighs] What are we gonna do, Charlie? Just keep avoiding each other and hope that this goes away?
- Charlie Salinger: It's probably not gonna go away. Because you were right. I mean, um, I've thought a lot about it. And, yeah, I want to have children. And, I want to have children with you. But... I want to be with you more. And, you know, as for kids, I mean it's... something we sort of already have.

- Charlie Salinger: It seems pretty simple to me. But I think we should make it official. I talked it over with everybody, and they said yes. So... I want us to adopt him. So he'll be ours. And I know it won't be the same thing.
