In the scene in which Kenny finds Max examining the jack-in-the-box, there is a Wisconsin license plate hanging on the file cabinet adjacent to her desk, with the number "Z82 7L3". This is not a format that was ever used in the state of Wisconsin. From 1953 to 1987, most plates were in the format "A12-345", which allowed for somewhat less than 2,400,000 plates (the number sequence 00-000 was used only on sample plates and the letters 'I' and 'O' were not used). When available numbers ran out, the format changed to "AB 1234" Prior to 1980, vanity plates allowed only digits; after 1980, mixing digits and letters (as in the sequence "7L3") has never been allowed. In 1986, the letter/number format changed to "ABC 123" and in 2001 to "123 ABC". Furthermore, all plates issued in that particular shape and color scheme had the "America's Dairyland" slogan at the bottom of the plate and "WIS" and "JAN 00" (month and year of expiration) at the top. The only year in which those colors were used prior to 1953 was 1942, in which the plates used all digits and had the year at the bottom. Therefore, the plate hanging over Max' desk is not a valid Wisconsin plate from before or after 1992.
