Lindsay heads for Los Angeles to meet with a guy she met in an art class. He has been accused of killing a woman and it appears to be open and shut. The entire system seems to be stacked against them, including a judge who has it in for her. He has had a lawyer who has been wasting time while he investigated an unrelated case. Nicely set up.

I just don't understand

I continue to watch this series to see what they will do with it. I can understand a drama which includes arguing and disagreements. However, these people are not even good at it. At least when they try to talk over each other. Something is wrong. Is it the direction? Perhaps so. The attempt at talking over each other just does not work for this series!
