Early in the show one of Coast Guard officers states that the sound of the test explosion in the Indian Ocean would travel at 840 mi/min; that's over 50,000 mi/hr! A quick check of the speed of sound in plain water is a little over 50 mi/min. So they were off by a least a factor of 10 times. Also, it was stated the test explosion was about 8,000 mi away and would arrive at the microphones in about an hour. They clocked it at 96 min which is 83.333 mi/min.
