A good solid watch.

A family are all killed, but is it a burglary gone wrong, or a deliberate attack? Two older children survive.

This is a very polished episode, it looks fantastic, it has a terrific cast, including a young Russell Tovey and Labour MP Tracy Brabin.

It's not a favourite of mine, but it is a very good one, there is more subtlety in this episode than in previous ones. The narrative is a little more scattered than we've been used to, with Harry sidelined, and working on a different case.

It says it all that I have zero recollection of it, but it's a good watch. 7/10

Weak, confusing, not up to SW standards

No chemistry between characters, a jarring early scene involving a seemingly random bloody truck driver highlight this rather dull episode, The first subpar episode so far in the series.

Mass Murder
Hitchcoc3 March 2019
Three members of a rich family have been murdered. The two that survived are quite badly injured. As Sam and her crew investigate, there are questions, mostly about ballistics. One young man, Jaime, is quite hostile. It seems that his father, who died, was quite an unpleasant, often very harsh person. His sister is in a coma and may have serious information. There is a subplot as a guy Sam lived with in their younger days is part of the forensics.

poor acting and uninteresting plot

The lack of chemistry between Amanda Burton and the lead detective is sleep inducing. The plot itself is a big step down from earlier episodes. The previous episode wasn't much better. I'm not sure how the series survived season 6.
