- Clark meets a young man with a power of speed that exceeds his own, but the boy lacks responsibility for his actions. Also, Lex finds a manuscript that appears to be some sort of Kryptonian map.
- While in Metropolis with Clark, Jonathan Kent is saved from an uncontrolled truck by a very fast teenager, Bart Allen (who will later become the superhero, 'Impulse'), who also pickpockets his wallet. When they arrive back in Kent Farm, Bart is there waiting for Clark where he confides in Bart about his powers. Bart and Clark become fast friends while Clark tries to persuade Bart to give up his quick and easy life of crime before it gets him in real trouble. Meanwhile, Lex Luthor buys a worthy manuscript with inscriptions in kryptonian, and he shows the unique document to Clark. But when Bart finds out, he decides to steal it to sell to a powerful mobster willing to pay a huge sum for the artifact. Also, Lana discloses the secret of her tattoo to her boyfriend Jason.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Clark is startled to witness Jonathan, just leaving the Metropolis Hospital, being saved from a car accident and 'relieved' of his wallet by an unknown younger teenage boy with the superpower of speed. Clark manages to find and search his hotel room, full with stolen stuff, and learns Bart Allen (who will later become the superhero 'Impulse') is a not a meteor-rock freak but a naturally born person who thought himself weirdo, even in his parents' eyes and he ran away from home, thus turning to the quick and easy life of crime to support himself. Later, Bart arrives at the Kent Farm he becomes Clark's physically equal playmate, but can't resist to keep stealing, which proves particularly dangerous with the icon Lex Luthor bought, once Rasputin's greatest treasure, trough which Clark's super-vision sees a hidden map with Kryptonion markings. Meanwhile, Jason Teague is initially told off when he notices Lana Lang's back-tattoo, but she ends up showing and explaining the marking her hunky boyfriend in the caves.—KGF Vissers
